BENSENVILLE, Ill.- In a high-scoring and action-packed divisional clash, the Chicago Cougars Elite squad showcased their offensive prowess, dismantling the Decatur Blaze with a convincing 12-2 victory at The Edge Ice Arena. The win extends the Cougars' dominance over the Blaze this season, maintaining their perfect record against their divisional rivals.

The Chicago Cougars wasted no time asserting their dominance, putting three goals on the board in the opening frame. Lukas Kurowski opened the scoring at 4:40, with assists from Andrew Engstrom and Dylan Gudovic. Engstrom and Jack Powers added two more goals, with Kurowski contributing another assist. The Cougars outshot the Blaze 17-6 in the period, showcasing their offensive firepower.


The second period saw the Blaze attempting to mount a comeback, scoring two goals from Benjamin Larsin and James Eggleston.
